They were on their way back to the barn as usual, when suddenly a disc like object flew over their heads and onto the ground in front of them. All the kits and Lucky went up to sniff it. A no-fur started running towards them, so they scattered into the woods. Bad idea.
Where is everyone? Well my kits are still with me, but where is Taz?
Pearl started walking up a dirtpath to find all of her companions.
“Come on kits! Let’s go find Taz-I mean Dad!” she encouraged her kits to get up, but they were still pretty young.
One of the kits mewled out loud and started to catch up with her mom. Soon Stripes did this too. Then Shine did this. They all followed their mom and hoped for some prey to run by her paws so they could eat.
Are we ever going to find the others?
Where is everyone? Should I call for help? No, the no-furs might come looking for me. I wonder where Pearl is.
Taz was walking up a dirtpath in search of his companions. He could not see up ahead, but he could smell up ahead. Prey! I get to eat! He found the scent of prey and followed that particular scent and found it lying dead on the ground, freshly killed.
The prey was enclosed in a cage, so he figured no problem it’s already killed for him. He went inside and the cage closed suddenly. He meowed in terror which signaled the no-furs, and they came out running.
Where are we? Where’s Bell?
Bell’s kits were on their own and they were completely lost, and they had been wandering for hours. They were now on a stonestrip. They were about to cross the blackgrounds when suddenly they were ambushed by a bunch of other kits.
“Go back to your stinking home! We don’t want you here!” One of the kits mewed.
The kits had seen their parents fight, and they knew how to, so they stood their ground. The other kits started to run towards them. Sunny and Star stayed in the back while Smokey and Lion were up front and Cookie was in the middle. Lion jumped on the first kit that ran past him and Smokey jumped on the second. Star and Sunny took on a big kit and Cookie fought the fourth kit.
Lucky groaned. Where am I? At least Bell’s with me. What happened?
When he jumped out of the way of the flying disc, he bumped his head on a tree along with Bell, and they were both knocked out and were just beginning to wake up. Bell was thinking the same thing when she woke up, and right when she woke up she fell unconscious again.
We gotta get out of here. He picked Bell up and they headed along the trail. They had walked so far that he was sure they had crossed into another cattown by now. The sun was beginning to shine and hit on his black fur, threatening to burn him. Finally, unable to walk any longer Lucky and Bell fell to the ground, motionless.
Where are we? Why are we so close to the barnplace?
Quin and Benny were lying on the ground, and they were bleeding. They sat up and began to lick their wounds.
“Why are we bleeding?” asked Quin.
“I dunno,” answered Benny.
They were on the dirtgrounds, and the sun was boiling them into the ground. They got up and padded to the nearest puddle because they were really thirsty and they hadn’t had a sip of water anywhere for a few days. After they were done taking a long sip of icy water, they started onwards. Suddenly a fox darted out of the bushes and growled.
“Get behind me Quin!” Benny yelled.
The fox leaped and Benny waited for the severe pain to happen.
It had been hours since Pearl and her kits had found any food, and they were very hungry. Earlier Pearl had heard some cat screaming its head off. They had begun to follow it to see if they could help it. They had barely begun to smell it and they hoped they could find food there.
Taz had been captured by the no-furs and was locked in the no-fur barn. They gave him disgusting slop for food. He wouldn’t dare eat it, but he was beginning to go hungry, so he ate some of it and tried to keep it down. He was beginning to think he could smell Pearl, and he almost called out her name, but he figured it was just the slop called food getting to his head.
“It’s horrible here isn’t it?” someone mewed.
“Who said that?” asked Taz.
“Surely you wouldn’t forget your own sister.”
Sunny, Cookie, Lion, Smokey, and Star were still fighting the kits that ambushed them. Star and Sunny were still fighting the kit; Star swiped at him and missed.
“That all you got kitty?” he sneered.
Suddenly, Sunny jumped on him and had him running away.
“Don’t talk to my sister like that! Don’t talk to her at all.”
They went to help Cookie with the kit she was fighting, but when he saw Sunny coming he ran away with the other kits. They started to walk again and they stumbled across some cats sleeping on the ground. They got up and saw that it was Lucky and Bell. They started licking them to wake them up and when they did, they walked onward.
At once Benny felt agonizing pain that was unbearable.
“Benny! No!” Quin yowled.
She jumped onto the fox and writhed around on the ground with it until it had had enough. She had the fox running away in the end of the fight, and she went to go tend to Benny’s wounds. After all, she was handy with medicines. You could practically call her a medicine cat. As Benny woke up he mewed,”Thank you Quin.”
